The sudden death of Stephan Welz, well known art auctioneer, appraiser and Tuli farmer of note has created a unique opportunity to acquire animals from one of the oldest, multi-award winning Tuli herds in South Africa.
Over a period of nearly 25 years, Stephan, who served as President of the Tuli Cattle Breeders Society for 11 years, concentrated his efforts in obtaining as wide a selection of Tuli genetics from Zimbabwe as well as from local breeders as possible.
There will be 170 female and 80 male animals available.
These unique animals with their antique, “Out of Africa” history will be offered on a total dispersal sale to be held on 22 April 2016 on the farm Blomvlei, near Tonteldoos, district Dullstroom. All animals in the herd will be up for grabs. More information will be available in the press soon or can be obtained from Carmen Welz on 011 447 2858 or 083 266 6829. Vleissentraal Ermelo will be doing the auction.
